Japan was in the 10th grade at Anacostia High School when she wrote her first book. Japan loves studying anatomy and biology. She also loves being in the music studio.
“I wrote Game of Pharaohs because I wanted to entertain kids who are bored. You often hear people talking about making learning fun. That’s what we tried to do with our book, by using things youth are interested in now.”
I wrote And Justice For Who? to portray real acts of injustice while also showing that all cops are not bad. The problem is bigger than individuals. Just getting kids to understand that at a young age is powerful.”
